Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about WHC Lab products and services.
How should I store my WHC Lab yeast and bacteria cultures?
To ensure maximum viability, all liquid cultures should be stored in a refrigerator between 2°C and 4°C (35°F - 39°F). Do not freeze the products as this can damage the cell walls.
What is the typical shelf life of your liquid yeast strains?
Our liquid yeast strains are best used within 4 to 6 months of the manufacture date printed on the packaging. Always check for a healthy fermentation starter if using older packs.
Do you offer international shipping for temperature-sensitive items?
Yes, we ship globally using insulated packaging and cold packs to maintain product integrity. We recommend selecting express shipping options for international orders to minimize transit time.
How long does it take to process an order?
Standard orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Custom propagation or large-scale brewery pitches may require 7-10 days to ensure peak freshness and cell count.
What is your return policy for perishable goods?
Due to the biological nature of our products, we cannot accept returns on yeast or bacteria once they have left our facility. However, if your order arrives damaged or fails to meet quality standards, please contact us within 48 hours.
Are WHC Lab products certified for commercial brewing?
Absolutely. All our cultures undergo rigorous quality control, including PCR testing and microscopic analysis, to ensure they are free from contaminants and ready for professional-grade production.
